One of the most polluted cities in China

Urumqi continues to top the daily updated charts of the most polluted (major) cities in China (most of which, I believe, are likely also the most polluted cities of the world). This one was released at 17:00 today (March 3rd), during which the pollution index of Urumqi reached 526. To give you a sense of how bad this is, the second most polluted city at 17:00 today, Shenyang (of Liaoning province, seen in blue below), was only at 216, less than half of Urumqi’s.
