Uyghurs-in-Crisis-The-Jewish-Response

On October 22, 2020, the Jewish Community Relations Council/AJC, Uyghur Human Rights Project, and European Union of Jewish Students held an event to learn about this crisis from the Uyghur community and how to help and connect to the incredible work that is already being done. We are pleased to bring together an incredible group for this discussion, including:

  • Ambassador Rabbi David Saperstein, U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom under the Obama administration and Senior Advisor for Policy and Strategy for the Religious Action Center
  • Rayhan Asat, President, American Turkic International Lawyers Association
  • Omer Kanat, Executive Director, Uyghur Human Rights Project
  • Serena Oberstein, Executive Director, Jewish World Watch
  • Mia Hansenson-Gross, Executive Director, Rene Cassin – the Jewish voice for human rights
  • Bini Guttmann, President, European Union of Jewish Students
