China AI Power Report Act (H.R.6275)

The China AI Power Report Act (H.R.6275) was introduced in the House on November 21, 2025 by Rep. James Moylan (R-GU) with bipartisan original co-sponsors Rep. Eugene Vindman (D-VA) and Rep. Bill Huizenga (R-MI). 

The full title is: “To require the Secretary of Commerce to submit a report annually on the advanced artificial intelligence capabilities of the People’s Republic of China, and for other purposes.”

The bill requires the U.S. Department of Commerce to report annually on China’s AI capabilities, including:

  • Leading Chinese AI software, chips, and semiconductors, and their designers and manufacturers,
  • Supply chains of leading Chinese AI manufacturers,
  • AI models produced or used by the Chinese military,
  • AI models used to surveil Uyghurs and other ethnic groups in the Uyghur Region.
