Carney set to meet with Alberta premier Danielle Smith as Liberal caucus huddle gets underway in Edmonton

Rounding out the roster, Bloc Québécois leader Yves-François Blanchet is off to Washington, D.C., where, according to his office, he’ll spend the next few days in high-level meetings related to the ongoing cross-border tariff war — particularly, although not necessarily exclusively, the White House-imposed levies targeting Quebec sectors —  with senior officials with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Trade office and the Canadian American Business Council, plus at least one elected representative, Michigan congressman Bill Huizenga, as well as the Uyghur Human Rights Project, Uyghur American Association and Tibet representative Namgyal Choedup.
