The Uyghur American Association (UAA) organized a rally in front of China’s embassy in Washington, DC on July 5, 2013 to commemorate the fourth anniversary of unrest in Urumqi in July 2009. Footage from the rally includes speeches by World Uyghur Congress President Rebiya Kadeer, UAA General Secretary Omer Kanat, and Yang Jianli, President of Initiatives for China, as well as interviews with participants.
