Stop the Uyghur Genocide Rally

WHAT: 200-300 Uyghurs from around the world will appeal to the conscience of the world to take urgent action. Uyghurs are asking the world to hold the Chinese government to account under the Genocide Convention, to impose sanctions, to end corporate complicity in the forced labor of Uyghurs, and to save vulnerable Uyghur refugees around the world. Uyghurs are enduring the 5th year of atrocities. It is past time for global action.

WHERE: Lincoln Memorial, 2 Lincoln Memorial Circle, Washington, DC 20002

EVENT ORGANIZERS:

  • Visual protest: 200-300 Uyghur community members and supporters will array with “Stop Uyghur Genocide” signs
  • Speakers will make an appeal to conscience against the backdrop of the Lincoln Memorial, a tribute to the president who ended American slavery 
  • Bearing witness: individuals will illustrate the treatment of Uyghurs in the camps
