We are honored to host Uyghur poet, filmmaker, and human rights advocate Aziz Isa Elkun for a screening of his short film, An Unanswered Telephone Call. The film offers a deeply personal reflection on family separation, loss, and the enduring impact of transnational repression on Uyghurs in the diaspora.
Following the screening, Aziz will join us for a discussion on documenting transnational repression and the ongoing struggle against cultural erasure.
Coffee, tea, and Uyghur snacks will be provided.
