Join us for an event with panel discussions and a cultural exhibition addressing the Uyghur genocide and honoring Uyghur identity.

This event is particularly significant as it occurs during a meaningful week for the Uyghur community, coinciding with Uyghur Genocide Remembrance Day (December 9)International Human Rights Day (December 10), and the anniversary of the 1985 Uyghur Student Protests in Ürümchi (December 12).

Organized by the Uyghur Academy and Campaign for Uyghurs, in collaboration with the Australian Uyghur Association, Center for Uyghur Studies (USA), Drexel University, East Turkistan Association of CanadaEast Turkistan Research Foundation (Turkey), George Washington University, International Campaign for Tibet, International Republican Institute (IRI), National Democratic Institute (NDI), National Endowment for Democracy (NED), Swiss Uyghur Association, Uyghur American Association (UAA), Uyghur Center for Democracy and Human Rights (Germany), Uyghur European Culture Centre (Norway), Uyghur Human Rights Project (UHRP), Uyghur Rights Advocacy Project (Canada), Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation (VOC), and the World Uyghur Congress (Germany)—this event brings together leaders and advocates from around the world.

The main program (1:00–5:00 PM) will feature an opening session and panel discussions, followed by an evening reception and Uyghur Culture Exhibition (5:00–7:30 PM), with traditional Uyghur art, music, and cultural heritage.
