On May 29, 2013, the Uyghur American Association (UAA) and the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) presented a joint panel discussion on Capitol Hill to mark the launch of the Uyghur Human Rights Project (UHRP) report, “Sacred Right Defiled: China’s Iron-Fisted Repression of Uyghur Religious Freedom.” Watch the embedded videos below or follow the YouTube links for full footage from the event.

Scott Flipse, Deputy Director of Policy and Research at the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom, delivered the opening remarks.
Sinchang Chiu, NED Asia Program Officer moderated a discussion with Henryk Szadziewski and Greg Fay, the UHRP report authors, about UHRP’s new report on Uyghur religious freedom.
Louisa Greve, NED Vice President, moderated a discussion of the experts’ perspectives on the domestic and regional implications of the report, with:
